Red 24 Product Selection to Improve Results
If you have read a previous article you know Red 24 designs and manufacture sports inspired purses and accessories. If not you may want to visit our website before reading this. www.red24bags.com. Our purses range from football shaped shoulder bags to argyle totes.
I will write this as if a group is raising funds in a time-limited offer as with the Girl Scout cookie model. Sales at school stores and games are also options.

When we put together a product set for a booster club, we work with the fundraising leader to select products that will:
- Offer products that identify with the club or team.
- Offer a broad visual appeal to catch the taste of different people.
- Offer a price range that will allow those with large and small budgets options to support your cause.

Identity
Identity with your team comes from the visual effect of the product. It could be color, the sport design of a bag, your team logo and/or an individual’s name. An easy visual is a baseball purse used to raise funds for a youth baseball program. This product clearly has the sport design built in. this may be enough for many people because there may also be a pro team in the area that a buyer wants to wear the purse to also.


Team or school logos can be added to all products in various ways. Plan ahead on this as it takes time. The most common customization is embroidery. We work with the leader to evaluate the cost/benefits of this option. We also encourage evaluating local options that a team may simply offer to the buyer. This keeps some business in the community, but also requires a willingness to partner.

Our experience is that a mother may want her son’s name embroidered on the strap. Another mother may want a daughter’s number. Either way identity adds value to a passionate mom whether for herself or as a gift.
If you have 25 or more logos, we may have a great option for you through the suppliers we use in the college-licensed market.

Broad Visual Appeal
Many of our purse designs are very sport specific. They would most likely be worn to games and events related to games or at school on game days. An example is a football purse. They are colorful and “out there”. This product may appeal to a player’s sister, cheerleader or coach’s wife. We have found many grandmas like these too.
 
For those that may not want this style, we can add in selections such as shoulder bags and totes that create identity with your group or team through color or logos. We are working with a Relay for Life team that will have their school name embroidered on a school colors argyle tote.

Range of Product Prices
While we have only mentioned purses above, we have additional product options to create a wide selection for a fundraiser. We like to put together a menu that fits the group of 5-10 items.
